Sustaining Culture in Times of Current and Past Conflicts (Part II)

On June 25, 2024, OneShared.World, an organization dedicated to global interdependence, in partnership with the Brademas Center NYU, presented the second in a series entitled Sustaining Culture during Past and Current Conflicts. The panel featured arts leaders who are using their skills to foster mutual understanding and respect across cultures. Working in South America, the Middle East and the United States as well as across the world, Zeyba Rahman (US) Director for the Building Bridges Program at the Doris Duke Foundation; Ahmed Elattar (Egypt), International Playwright and Performer; Lupe Gehrenbeck (Venezuela), award-winning playwright and Director; and Moderator, NYU Professor Elizabeth Bradley (US), Arts Professor and former Chair of the Department of Drama at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, offered their insights and experiences on how they connect with audiences and build bridges across communities.
